Venus is using in-depth knowledge of the structural setting and genesis of major mineral deposits together with regional structural interpretation and GIS expertise to identify world-class exploration targets within Australia.

The key Venus exploration focus is target generation within Australian Lower Proterozoic orogenic belts (Figure 1) which host many of Australia’s world-class ore bodies e.g. Argyle (diamonds),Telfer (gold), Olympic Dam (iron oxide copper gold), Broken Hill (base metals) and Mt Isa (base metals, IOCG).

Venus is currently exploring within Western Australia for:

• Iron ore, gold and base metals within the Archaean Mid West Murchison Province which is an emerging iron ore province (Yalgoo project)
• Uranium, base metals, gold and diamonds within the mineral-rich Lower Proterozoic Halls Creek Orogen which hosts the world’s largest diamond mine at Argyle (Durack Bore, King River, Deception Range, Argyle North, Argyle South, and Argyle Alluvial Diamond projects)
• Iron ore, gold, uranium and base metals within the richly-endowed Paterson Orogen which hosts the world-class 27 Moz Telfer gold and Kintyre uranium deposits (Yarrie East, Radi Hills and Mount Morris projects).
